A Fresh Start: An Art Show curated by Ashley Longshore

Jeffrey Alltmont’s custom sculpture caricature shadow boxes were featured in Ashley Longshore’s ‘A Fresh Start’ art exhibition at department store Bergdorf Goodman on January 11,  2019.

Jeff Alltmont is a self trained sculptor who creates personalized and completely custom sculpture caricature shadow boxes for his clients. He uses polymer clay and a variety of papers and fabrics to display the person in the background of their choice, whether it be a room in their home, a special place, or even a fantasy destination. The shadow boxes come in a variety of sizes and take four to six weeks to craft. He starts by a conversation over the phone or via email for the client to discuss their vision for the pieces, personal stories, and quirky characteristics they'd like to be included in their very special shadow box. The piece is finished in fine framing and museum glass.
